COVID-19 Announcement

To all of our wonderful pet parents:

We are updating our Covid-19 policies to reflect Governor Abbot’s removal of the state-wide mandatory mask policy and the opening of all businesses to 100% effective Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

For the comfort and safety of all our clients, the staff of Ridglea West Animal Hospital will continue to wear masks as we care for your pet and for you in the reception area and exam rooms. Because we are aware of the many needs of all our clients, we encourage you to make your choice to wear a mask or not to wear a mask, based on your individual health concerns. We appreciate that some of you are most comfortable in a mask but also that some of you have been vaccinated and feel that you can go mask free. We also appreciate that some of you will choose not to be vaccinated or wear a mask. We respect each individual’s right to make that decision when they come to our practice.

We will continue to practice social distancing in the building and continue to ask for your patience as we control the flow of foot traffic into and around the building. This means that we ask you to continue to call from your car when you arrive and we will advise you when an exam room is ready so that you can move directly in to the room. It also means that we will continue to monitor exam room releases. Unless cleared by the front desk, please limit your visit to two adults per exam room. This restriction does not include or apply to children under 12.

We will continue to offer curbside service and telemedicine visits (for limited medical conditions) on request.

We want all our patients and their people to feel comfortable in our building. Please let us know of any special needs or concerns you have when making your appointment so we can accommodate you.
